Final post of this years marathon. Wrote 31 post (this one is 32nd), now it’s time to do a little recap and final thoughts. All the posts are available in Blaugust category or with Blaugust 2026 tag
Outside of challenge mode, posting every day no matter what feels unsustainable. Obviously if you are just posting something quick and small, then it will be easier, but for me “laziest” posts were plans for the week on Monday and weekly recaps on Sunday, even then I tried to keep them good. Other posts took some time, energy, and inspiration to write on my free time, just one per day would be doable, but then you get hit by reality and some days you can’t write. Then you need to write two in one day and that’s when it gets harder, especially when I missed quite a lot of days and needed to catch up often (even today). Still will do the challenge again probably, because it was nice to challenge my capabilities and it was nice seeing that my community reads the blog. I think last times I stopped blogging were mostly when I wasn’t sure if people even read my posts, just feels like you probably would be better off investing that time in some other content. Content creator dilemma, when you already have some platform that somewhat works for you, but need to branch out and don’t know what is better. Pretty sure this blog isn’t exactly about getting some new audience, but as long as it’s something my existing audience enjoys – I’m happy.
In terms of posting plans I mostly did what was planned, except I barely touched travels related content outside of my anniversary post and I didn’t publish my financial report post. I also didn’t stream that report yet, for now decided to delay it to when I’m in Armenia and settled down for next 5-6 months, so I can focus better, hard to focus while at home and it’s still summer (barely). Still need to finish the book I mentioned in the plans, I actually haven’t even touched it this who month, even though I was carrying the e-book with me on the train every time, always something else to keep myself busy.
Now that the challenge is over I will slow down with posting, not gonna aim for one post per day, but I plan to keep weekly report and weekly schedule posts, mini reviews should be nice to keep and get like one or two posts of other kinds per week. Need to keep the consistent posting going, to not disappear again for years, even though now I’m actually more interested in preserving some memories and archives of my adventures.
Should join Blaugust last year when I learned about it, but better late than never, glad that I did this year, it feels good to get some writing practice and air out some thoughts, even though that I do on stream a lot, writing structures them a bit more. Discord feedback channel for my blog posts already created, feel free to give me some criticism, feedback, ideas, anything related to this blog really and comments obviously work for that too. We’ll be back for Blaugust 2027, but hopefully I’ll stay consistent with posting until then!
