Week ended up a bit busier than expected, but it’s still not going to be just plans and recap posts. Got some nice games to play today, even though one I did already try on Tuesday, but it was just for 1 hour, wanted to do some more. Managed to get some giveaway keys for the community too.
Wanderburg
Vampire Survivors-like or as they are called now Bullet Heaven game. Controlling and fighting different buildings and fortifications that have various chassis that allow them to move. Can put different weaponry on your castle on wheels and just zoom around destroying everything or choose a tanky build and sacrifice your speed in favour of survivability.

Game is really nice and addictive, core loop is familiar yet everything feels relatively new and fresh. Main issue that I could notice is pretty slow meta progression, which is kinda sad when a lot of new weapons and chassis are locked behind that progression. Early on you aren’t going to have a lot of variety in your builds at least, even though I played around 3 hours total and can’t complain, but I’d say early game variety is important to get people hooked in this genre.
Shroom and Gloom
It’s been some time since I enjoyed some proper deckbuilding. Great game that made me miss my regular stream finish time and “one more fight” continued until I killed the final boss of the first “region”.
Familiar roguelike deckbuilder map with nodes that you choose on your way towards the boss, but after every fight on the map there is an exploration node. Exploration uses special deck where you deal with different threats and hazards while building and upgrading your deck. Cards can generate consumable cards, so your deck is quite dynamic and your HP is a resource that you might lose and replenish easily.

Game looks like a dungeon crawler and in some ways it is one, just with less freedom of movement and every action being a card. Art style is really cool, mushroom themed with weird eldritch vibe, liked it myself and read some nice comments in chat too.
Might return to this one, but not so sure considering the backlog and other plans though
Tomorrow I’ll add another new game closer to the end of the stream, probably one I couldn’t find time to play today, but I also have a couple of other options – decisions, decisions. What I will play tomorrow for sure is Tropico 6 – was really nice to revisit it, even though picking Hard difficulty already made my current mission quite hard. Also more Stars Reach, making more progress in my space MMOing.
